Simple pumpkin centerpieces for your table

I love pumpkins for fall decorating. There are so many cute options for faux pumpkins… but if you have the option of using real ones, I think they are so much more timeless and beautiful. I decided to experiment with making some simple fall table centerpieces for your home using real pumpkins.

For the first option I used a wicker cake stand (wicker and basket weave is very trendy right now!), and some faux purple eucalyptus stems. Using fresh eucalyptus would work too, it doesn’t need to be in water to look beautiful. It also dries well. You will want to have it set though where you want it before it dries because it definitely become brittle, and pieces will crumble off when you are moving it around. I found this faux purple eucalyptus at Home Goods .

As you can see I layered two table runners for a cozier look. The plaid one I got out of the Target dollar section (score!), and the rosy muslin one underneath I got at Sisters Garden.

For the next option I used a metal feeder full of mini white pumpkins, and three mini wispy wreaths from Sisters Garden. This may be my favorite one because it is very free spirited with its branches shooting out over the edges of the feeder.

I started with a base layer of mini pumpkins filling the bottom of the feeder, and placed three on top to layer with the three mini wreaths.

The metal feeder I found at Hobby Lobby. And the neutral table runner was an old one I had on hand, that I’ve had so long I honestly can’t remember where it came from! I love the fresh vibe this neutral center piece brings. You really can’t go wrong with these colors!

For the next option I used a galvanized metal tote I found at Sisters Garden. I love metal mixed in for a fall centerpiece. It can easily be warmed up with anything fall filling it.

As you can see I just piled a bunch of different kinds of orange pumpkins together. I didn’t ‘perfectly’ arrange them either. It looks much better if you just kind of pile them on after you get your base layer of pumpkins on there. When things are too neatly arranged they tend to not look as good— funny huh?! You would think the opposite would be true, but most often it isn’t.

If you have a small table, try putting your table runner and center piece the short way for a look with more statement.

Now if you are still feeling overwhelmed by these ideas… try my most simple idea using real pumpkins. Simply line up some mini ones! How cute is this?!

This table runner I got at Home Goods too! I love stripes for fall, less traditional than plaid, but still a statement.

A special thank you to Sisters Garden for letting me borrow all of the beautiful pumpkins pictured! The thing I love about Sisters Garden’s pumpkins—other than they are unique and beautiful— is that they are always sourced locally. So if you go out and buy real pumpkins, do me a favor, and get them from a local farmer!
